After a Hindenburg Research report that was critical of his industrial companies, Gautam Adani, an Indian businessman, lost $60 billion in just a few weeks.
Adani was Asia’s richest man at the beginning of the year and the third-richest person in the world. As investors question his integrity, Adani has now fallen to the 21st wealthiest person on the planet. According to Bloomberg data, Adani has a net worth currently of $61 billion. Adani's net worth was $150 billion at its peak in September.
Adani's fall from grace has shaken the Bloomberg Billionaire's Index as well as the extraordinary year-to-date stock market rally.
The rise in tech stocks has resulted in more than $60 billion of wealth for some of America’s tech founders like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos.
