Mark Cuban, a billionaire entrepreneur and owner of various high-end vehicles, recently expressed his preference for his Kia EV6 over his Tesla Model X Plaid. Despite the Tesla Model X Plaid being one of the more expensive electric vehicles on the market, Cuban cited the longer range and easier driving experience of the Kia EV6 as the reasons for his choice.

The ongoing feud between Mark Cuban and Elon Musk has been making waves in the online world. It started when a Threads user encouraged Cuban to "stick it to Elon" by sharing a photo of himself in a Rivian, a competitor to Tesla. Cuban responded by stating that he owns both a Tesla and a Kia, but he drives the Kia almost exclusively.

According to Cuban, the Kia EV6 offers a better driving experience compared to his Tesla Model X Plaid. He highlighted the longer range, more accurate mileage readings, lesser impact from cold weather, and higher ground clearance as the advantages of the Kia. However, he acknowledged that Tesla has more comprehensive software.

While Tesla advertises that the 2024 Plaid X model can achieve up to 326 miles between charges, the Kia EV6 is reported to have a range of up to 310 miles. It is worth noting that performance can be affected by cold weather, and not all electric vehicles are created equal in this regard.

A used-EV research firm called Recurrent found that the 2022 Kia EV6 maintained 93% of its EPA range when operating at 32 degrees Fahrenheit, while the Tesla Model X's observed range at the same temperature was only 48% of its original EPA range.

Although the thoughts expressed by Cuban are those of a single driver, Business Insider also preferred the Kia EV6 over the Tesla Model Y in 2022. It is important to mention that Cuban himself was not entirely sure if his Tesla was a Model S or X, as he owns a substantial car collection.

Elon Musk has yet to respond to Cuban's preference for the Kia EV6. On the other hand, Kia appears to be pleased with Cuban's choice, as James Bell, head of corporate communications at Kia America, expressed agreement with Cuban's sentiment.
