- Andrew Tate, a controversial influencer, wants Elon Musk trained to bring down Mark Zuckerberg.
- After being banned from Meta's platform, the ex-pro Kickboxer claimed that it would "restore his honor".
- Musk and Zuckerberg are hyping a possible "cage-match" between them.
Andrew Tate offered to train Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of Meta, in a cage match that is reportedly coming up.
The former kickboxing professional tweeted Thursday, "I will train @elonmusk." "You will never lose."
Tate, who was banned in 2022 from Meta's platform, presented his offer to Musk, as a form of retaliation.
Tate wrote: "Meta banned my everywhere because I told the truth about vaccinations." "But we can now restore honour by striking the leader of the enemy clan."
Meta announced in August that Tate was banned from Instagram and Facebook due to his violation of Meta's policies on dangerous individuals and organizations, and for violating the hate speech guidelines. Tate, who had 4.8 million Instagram fans at the time was branded a misogynist because of the messages he posted on social media.
Tate was arrested in Romania Wednesday and charged with rape. He also faces charges of human trafficking and creating a criminal group for the sexual exploitation of women. Tate's brother, along with two other men, also faces these charges. All four deny the allegations.
Musk continued to promote the idea of Tate and Zuckerberg going head-to-head.
Musk tweeted "Let's do full MMA" on Thursday evening.
Musk floated the idea to fight his fellow billionaire. He tweeted on Tuesday, "I'm up for a cagematch" after unsubstantiated reports emerged that Meta was planning to launch a Twitter rival called Threads.
The Twitter founder has been a regular critic of Zuckerberg. He often complains that he feels like Meta CEO is taking over the entire world with his many platforms and that he seems "partisan".
Zuckerberg responded to Musk by posting a story on Instagram showing a screenshot from Musk's Tweet. "Send Me Location," Zuckerberg wrote.
The Verge reported later that a Meta representative said that the Meta CEO meant it when he said he was ready to take on Musk.
Alex Heath, the outlet's reporter, was told by spokesperson Iska Sric that "the story speaks for itself".
Zuckerberg is a martial artist, and has won both a gold medal and a silver in a jiu jitsu competition in Redwood City in California. He claimed to have been training for more than a year and especially during the COVID-19 epidemic.
Musk on the other had described his signature fight as "The Walrus," in which he lays on top of an opponent and does nothing.
Will Gendron of Insider reported that sports betting websites do not agree on the favorite to win in a one-on-1 matchup.
DraftKings rates Musk as an underdog. They cite Zuckerberg's 12 year younger age and his experience with a rigorous training regime. Bovada, on the other hand, has the Tesla CEO rated as the favorite due to his size and weight.
Musk suggests that the two billionaires will fight in the Las Vegas UFC Apex Arena or "Vegas Octagon".
Musk's mother Maye Musk is also trying to convince her son to stop fighting.
She tweeted, "No jokes." "Fight only with words. In armchairs. Four feet apart. "The person who is the most funny wins."
Musk didn't immediately reply to a question about whether he would consider training with Tate.
