Elon Musk Attacks Disney CEO Over Advertising on Meta Platforms

Elon Musk continues his feud with Disney CEO Bob Iger, criticizing the company for advertising on Meta platforms. Musk reacted to a report that accused Meta of not adequately addressing child exploitation issues. The CEO of X took to social media to express his opinion that Bob Iger should be immediately fired for supporting Meta's platforms.

Musk's Strong Words Against Iger

Elon Musk didn't hold back in his criticism of Disney CEO Bob Iger. Musk posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Iger should be "fired immediately." He even suggested that Walt Disney himself would be deeply disappointed in what Iger has done to the company. Musk's comments came in response to the news that New Mexico's attorney general had filed a lawsuit against Meta and its CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. The lawsuit claims that Meta's social networks fail to adequately protect children and instead become hubs for child pornography and solicitation of minors for sex.

Musk's Accusations Against Disney

Musk also called out Disney for continuing to advertise on Meta despite the controversy. Disney had recently pulled its ads from X after Musk supported an antisemitic post. Musk criticized Bob Iger, misspelling his name as "Bob Eiger," for allowing Disney to advertise alongside child exploitation material. When asked why Iger had not been fired, Musk responded that he should be fired immediately. He further emphasized his statement by simply stating "truth" in response to a news headline about his call for Iger's firing.

Previous Confrontations and Criticisms

This is not the first time Elon Musk has publicly attacked advertisers who have abandoned his platform. At the New York Times' Dealbook summit, Musk had a blunt and profane message for companies that no longer wanted to support him financially. He criticized Iger specifically during the event, making it clear that he was targeting him. Iger, in turn, responded to Musk's comments by explaining that Disney felt it was not beneficial to associate themselves with Musk and X due to his public support of an antisemitic tweet. Musk has a history of openly criticizing various individuals and companies, including Apple and President Joe Biden.

Elon Musk's outspoken nature and confrontational attitude have made him a controversial figure in the business world. His ongoing feud with Bob Iger and Disney is just another example of Musk's willingness to publicly express his opinions and engage in heated debates.
