In 2002, he created X.com and later it became PayPal later in the year 2004. In 2006, he founded Tesla Motors, which went to the public market in 2010. In 2013, he established SpaceX that is currently developing rockets and spacecraft.

His involvement with SpaceX and Tesla has earned him the attention of the world however, he also created OpenAI, which aims to develop artificial intelligence that can benefit humanity.
