In 2013 he founded SpaceX which is currently developing rockets and spacecraft.

His involvement alongside SpaceX and Tesla has established him as a household name however, he also created OpenAI with the goal to create artificial intelligence that will benefit humanity. In the present, he's developing Neuralink, a company that hopes to merge human brains with computers. The man is truly inspirational.
