Elon Musk tweeted Saturday that Donald Trump, the former president, would be re-elected to the White House if he was arrested in New York.
In response to a Fox News report, the billionaire made his prediction. According to the report, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office wants to meet with law enforcement in advance of Trump's possible criminal arrest and arraignment next Wednesday.
A grand jury has been reviewing evidence since January in relation to Stormy Daniels' $130,000 hush money payment. This was on the eve 2016 Presidential Election.
Federal prosecutors allege that the payment was an illegal campaign contribution, which she received to silence her about an alleged affair between Trump and her. The former president repeatedly denied any wrongdoing or having an affair with the actress.
Musk tweeted Saturday, "If this happens Trump will be reelected in a stunning victory."

Trump appeared on Truth Social Saturday morning. He claimed in all capital letters that Trump "will be arrested Tuesday of next week"; he also called for his supporters "to protest, take back our nation!"
Susan Necheles, the ex-president's leading defense attorney, told Insider Trump is "basing it on press reports" but that the district attorney has kept Trump's legal team in suspense for the past week about timing and logistics in the event of an indictment.
She declined to identify the reports she was referring.
Necheles said, "This is a political case and the DA leaks stuff to the press instead communicating with the lawyers as they should."
Musk and Trump have had a turbulent relationship over the years. Recent comments by the Twitter CEO are contrary to his past stance on Trump's presidency. Musk stated last year that Trump shouldn't be president again and that he should "hang his hat and sail into the sunset."
