  • Elon Musk is getting hyped about fight night again.
  • And he wants the world to know he weighs "300 lbs."
  • It's unclear how much Musk weighs, or if this fight is even going to happen.

Elon Musk wants people to know he weighs 300 pounds and totally stands a chance against Mark Zuckerberg in a cage match.

It all started on Sunday with a post from Ed Krassenstein on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. Krassenstein is a self-described journalist who's probably best known for having been suspended from Twitter in 2019 for trolling then-President Trump's tweets. He was reinstated to the platform in 2022.

In the post, Krassenstein presented a "fight card" of the much-hyped Zuck vs. Musk fight.

He described Musk as "6'2" and reportedly 187 lbs" and "built like a crash-test dummy." Zuckerberg is "155 lbs" and "one of the stronger nerds you will meet," Krassenstein wrote.

It's worth stating up front that we don't know either tech mogul's weight, or where Krassenstein's information comes from. Musk, however, took the bait and joined the conversation.

"I weigh at least 300 lbs," Musk replied, appearing to object to Krassenstein's characterization of his weight class.

In another reply to the thread, Musk also broke down his chances of winning in a cage match against Zuckerberg.

"If the fight is short, I probably win. If long, he may win on endurance," Musk wrote. "I am much bigger and there is a reason MMA has weight divisions."

Zuckerberg has been skeptical about Musk's intentions to show up for the tech bro showdown.

"I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn't confirmed. Not holding my breath," the Meta CEO wrote on Threads on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Musk is getting hyped about the fight again after a month of radio silence on the particulars of when and where the billionaires plan to beat each other up. On Sunday, he announced that the Zuck vs. Musk cage match will be live-streamed on X, with all proceeds going to a charity for veterans.

Musk also claimed he's been lifting "45 lb weights" to "build muscle" and prep for the fight. No solid dates have been announced though, so despite all the fanfare and barb-trading, the whole thing is still up in the air.
