- Elon Musk commented on Donald Trump's indictment Thursday night.
- Musk stated that there was a "far greater interest" in pursuing Trump than other politicians.
- He also responded to a tweeter who asked why other people like Hunter Biden weren't indicted.
Elon Musk questioned aloud, hours after Donald Trump announced that he was indicted a second time for government records at Mar-a-Lago. He wondered why the prosecutors were more interested in Trump than other politicians.
Musk replied to a Tweet by ALX, an influential Twitter user, and one of his close friends, saying that "there does seem to be a far greater interest in pursuing Trump than other people in political life."
Musk said in the tweet that was posted just hours after Trump's Thursday indictment: "Very important for the justice system to rebut the appearance of differential enforcement, or else they will lose the public's trust."

He also replied with an emoji when a tweet was sent by a far-right Twitter account called End Wokeness.
The tweet included names like "Hunter Biden," the Clintons," "Iraq War Criminals," and "COVID Criminals," followed by "0 indictments."
The tech mogul has been known to give his opinion on politics before. In May, he was the host of Florida Governor. Ron DeSantis' campaign launch for 2024 was on Twitter Spaces.
Although the DOJ has not released the charges against Trump, his lawyer Jim Trusty told CNN’s Kaitlin Collins the ex-president is facing seven charges related to espionage and obstruction, false statement, and conspiracy.
Musk did not respond immediately to an Insider request for a comment sent outside of regular business hours.
