Elon Musk’s new X themed HQ before-and-after footage shows Twitter bird and other logos falling down, as well as lots of black paint

Elon Musk has rebranded Twitter in its San Francisco headquarters. This includes the walls, conference room and other areas.

Jenner Balagot, a Twitter employee, posted a video that shows the changes. The music is from Disney's movie "Wreck It Ralph", which has wailing lyrics.

The mural of a brightly colored bird is painted black. The cafeteria wall is painted black, and the giant blue bird logo that was used to light it has been removed. The collage that read "love where your work" repeatedly disappears. Only a bird-shaped projection remains on the wall. Even small bird stickers peel off surfaces.

A second video by Balagot features a compilation of renamed conference rooms at the Balagot headquarters. The names are becoming increasingly bizarre. The video includes eXpanse and eXpand as well as eXoskeletons, eXit, and eXhume.

The new X logo, which was projected onto the exterior of the building in the middle night, was revealed earlier this week. Later, the giant Twitter sign outside the headquarters was partially removed, although San Francisco Police briefly stopped the first attempt.

Musk's obsession for the X brand has been well documented. Musk said that the X.com name was very sentimental to him after he bought it back from PayPal in 2017.

Musk's Tesla released a vehicle called the Model X. The holding companies created to acquire Twitter were named X Holdings. Musk's artificial intelligence startup, xAI Corp., was founded by his son, X AE AA-12 Musk.

Rebranding Twitter as X has sparked a variety of reactions. These range from confusion, embarrassment and anger. Marketing expert dubbed the Twitter rebrand as "completely irrational." Users joked that it looked like the new X symbol belonged on an adult movie site. One survey found that Twitter users who are more active like the new look.

It seems the company's new brand has become eXpansive, whether it is divisive or not.
