The Tesla driver was asleep behind the wheel as it traveled on a busy California freeway. Or at least that’s how the footage looks from another vehicle.
The video is amazing. You have to see it. A Tesla driver stands motionless while the electric car zooms down Interstate 15 near Temecula CA. It looks as if they are sleeping because their sunglasses are on and their head is tilted back.
The video was shot by the people who believe the Tesla driver is out of control. They claim the Tesla drove past them on Thursday, when they saw the driver “knocked out.” This made them remark how dangerous the situation seems.
According to reports, the concerned commuters followed the Tesla for fifteen minutes, honking their horns in an attempt to wake him up before calling police. The Tesla never came back.
California Highway Patrol reports that there have been no accidents with white Teslas in the area when the video was taken. However, the footage is quite scary.
Tesla’s autopilot function is legal, but drivers cannot be asleep behind the wheel while the car is in autopilot mode.
