Universum has recently unveiled the updated ranking of the most sought-after employers by tech students globally. The top seven companies have maintained their positions from the previous year, indicating a consistent appeal among tech enthusiasts. In particular, Universum's research highlighted a strong interest among IT students in securing positions at Google.

Top Choices Remain Stable

For many college students pursuing careers in the tech industry, the opportunity to work for renowned companies like Google, Samsung, or Oracle holds significant allure. Universum, a leading expert in employer branding, collaborated with Business Insider to present the findings of its World's Most Attractive Employers rankings.

Insights from a Global Survey

The rankings draw insights from feedback provided by over 100,000 students across nine countries, with a substantial representation of IT students. Participants were asked to identify up to five companies they consider their ideal employers. Although the survey timelines varied across the nine countries, all data collection occurred between September 2023 and May 2024.

According to Universum, the objective was to gather future talent's perspectives on the key attributes they value in an employer and their preferences for ideal workplaces.

Consistent Appeal of Tech Giants

Notably, Google, Microsoft, and Apple emerged as top choices for many tech students, reflecting their strong positions in the rankings. These three tech giants, along with four others, maintained their positions in the top seven from the previous year. Sony secured the seventh spot, while Amazon claimed the fourth position. It's worth mentioning that Google, topping the list for IT students, also held the first position among engineering students.
