Twitter's logo was displayed on the San Francisco headquarters of the company in a bizarre nocturnal display a few minutes after midnight.

Around 2 a.m. EST, Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino unveiled the new X Logo: "Lights." Camera. X!" She tweeted.

Elon Musk had announced Twitter's rebranding as "X" just 24 hours earlier. He said that the moniker represents his vision of an "everything-app."

The launch took place under cover of darkness, with little fanfare.

Musk may be trying to avoid making the same mistakes again. His other major product launches were plagued with blunders and misfires.

Who can forget the frequent crashes that occurred on Twitter during Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign launch, when the site struggled with the 400,000 viewers tuning in?

Then there was the unimaginably bare-bones debut of Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News talk show host.

You could also think about Musk's rapid-fire firings of employees after he acquired the company, which led to many being fired by mistake. Then, they were asked to come back.

The new logo, whether it's a coincidence or not is a crowd pleaser.

A Twitter user named @nearcyan shared a photo that appeared to show people outside the headquarters shortly after the images were splashed across the facade of the building.

The user wrote: "A party is forming near the X."
