In 2006 he founded Tesla Motors, which went to the public market in 2010. In 2013, he established SpaceX that is currently developing rockets as well as spacecraft.

His work with SpaceX and Tesla has earned him the attention of the world and he was also the founder of OpenAI with the goal to develop artificial intelligence that can benefit humanity.
