However, the Mario Kart ride's flagship has been criticized for its size. Its seat limit restricts riders to those with waists less than 40 inches.

"Nothing but beautiful things to say about Super Nintendo World, except this: The body size limitations for the Mario Kart ride on Super Nintendo World are absolutely ridiculous," tweeted Rocco Botte on Twitter, a prominent gaming influencer. "I have never had any issues fitting in any ride in my life and this one is no exception. It's completely absurd.

Park-goers can experience a virtual reality ride that takes them through a race track using a slow-moving, attached kart to a rail. Universal has released a safety handbook that advises that this ride is not suitable for riders with waists greater than 40 inches.

The restrictions on four other rides in the park are similar to those at the park, prompting online discussion about limited accessibility at theme parks.
