- Steve Bannon accused Elon Musk, of being a "paymaster" in Beijing.
- Bannon has previously accused Musk of being a member of the Chinese Communist Party.
- Miles Guo is an associate of Bannon, a Chinese billionaire who has been indicted for fraud.
Steve Bannon, a far-right shock jock who is connected to a Chinese billionaire indicted, accused Elon Musk, a toady to China's government.
Bannon was a strategist for former President Donald Trump and took to Gettr on Saturday to write about Musk.
Bannon posted on Gettr: "Musk Heads To Home Office to Kowtow To His Paymasters the CCP", referring to a Bloomberg article regarding Musk's plans for China.
Three hours later, Bannon posted another Gettr article in which he again attacked Musk. This time, he commented on Musk's role of CEO of Twitter.
"Musk Lies almost as Frequently He was overpaid by 2x for the crime scene known as Twitter…Now his paymasters in Beijing demand that he screw everyone …." Bannon wrote.
It is not the first time Bannon has accused Musk of serving China's government without any evidence or substantiation.
Bannon said that Musk was a "total and complete phony" and is "owned – lock stock, barrel, and barrel – by the Chinese Communist Party in March during an episode on TimCast IRL podcast." Matt Gaetz, a Florida Representative, posted a clip from the podcast to Twitter.
Musk responded by tweeting, "I used to believe Bannon was smart and evil, but now i realize that I was wrong about this first part."

Elon Musk's relations with China
Musk has made every effort to establish business relations with China. Musk announced on Sunday that he plans to construct a new Tesla factory in Shanghai near his existing vehicle plant.
Musk is also known to show admiration for the Chinese government.
Musk posted a tweet praising the Communist Party on July 2021. He wrote: "The economic success that China has achieved, especially in infrastructure, is truly incredible!" I urge people to go and see it for themselves.
According to me, China rocks. Musk stated that China has great energy during a podcast interview in July 2020. "When you have been winning for too many years, you can begin to take everything for granted. You've been winning too long in the United States, especially California and New York.
People on Chinese social media, like Musk, also have similar philosophies. People on Weibo (China's Twitter-like platform) suggested in November 2021 that Musk's philosophies were so similar to the Chinese government's that they might consider giving him membership to China's Communist Party.
China has also been linked to Steve Bannon
Bannon is also associated with Miles Guo Wengui, a Chinese billionaire indicted.
Bannon was charged with money laundering and other crimes in connection to the "We Build the Wall” fundraising campaign. Trump later pardoned Bannon.
Guo was close to the CCP and fled the country in 2014. According to the New Yorker, Bannon used to call Guo "Donald Trump in Beijing" and "George Washington in the new China."
Guo, now a critic against the Chinese government, was arrested in March. The Justice Department accused Guo of running a multi-billion-dollar fraud scheme. According to The New York Times, Guo pleaded no guilty and is currently in detention.
Insider reached Musk and Bannon representatives but did not respond immediately to the request for comment outside of regular business hours.
