- Tesla teased the potential launch of a new Cybertruck at an event on Monday for its Lithium refinery.
- Elon Musk arrived at the ceremony driving a Cybertruck equipped with a rack in black.
- At the event, the electric pickup truck also wore its massive windshield washer.
Elon Musk teased on Monday what looked like a toolrack for Tesla's much-anticipated Cybertruck.
Musk drove his Cybertruck equipped with the black rack to a ceremony in Texas for Tesla's newly built lithium refinery.
The rack was mounted on the truck bed. The rack had what looked like two silver shovels on the outside. The vehicle appeared to have bars on the rack's top that would allow it to be used for larger items.
Later, attendees at the event used similar shovels for breaking ground on the refinery site. Musk estimates that the new Texas refining facility will produce enough rare earth metal lithium to power approximately 1 million electric vehicles.

Tesla has not responded to Insider's request for comment and is yet to give any additional details about the rack.
The rack is not an official Tesla product. Cybertruck accessories have been developed by some companies, including camping units which can transform the electric pickup into an RV.
Musk said that Tesla plans to release the Cybertruck this year. He confirmed this during Tesla's quarter earnings call last year. The billionaire has altered the delivery date several times, which is two years after he originally predicted. He first announced the truck back in 2019.
Musk stated during the earnings conference that it takes time to set up the production line. "This is a really radical product," Musk added. "It is not made the same way as other cars."
The EV's stainless steel design, as well as its unique shape, requires that many of its components be made to order, including the wiper for the large front window. The truck is seen in the video of the event on Monday sporting a huge windshield wiper. In a previous photo, the wiper appeared to be causing the entire windshield to become dirty despite its large size.
After the Texas event, a Cybertruck was spotted in a field. In a social media video, the Cybertruck is seen stuck in a muddy field. Several people and another vehicle are gathered around it.
