The former president Donald Trump and allies made fun of Ron DeSantis on Wednesday night as the Florida Governor's hype talk with Elon Musk became a glitchy launch of his presidential campaign.
"Wow! The DeSanctus TWITTER Launch is a DISASTER!" Trump wrote that his entire campaign would be a catastrophe on Truth, the social media platform he uses. "WATCH!"

Trump compared DeSantis’ struggles to those of Sen. Tim Scott, who was briefly sidetracked when his microphone malfunctioned.

The former president shared a video in which he contrasted his own pompous announcement at Mar-a-Lago with DeSantis’ rough start on Tuesday.

DeSantis’ team appeared unphased by their struggles.
Bryan Griffin, DeSantis Press Secretary, wrote on Twitter: "Governor DeSantis was so enthusiastic about his vision for the Great American Comeback he literally broke up the Internet." Washington is next.
Trump and his supporters also tried to compare DeSantis with former Florida Governor. Jeb Bush. Former President Bush infamously called Bush "low energy" prior to overtaking him in the 2016 primary elections.

Matt Gaetz of Florida, formerly a close DeSantis supporter, tweeted "DeSedative".
DeSantis finally managed to finish his announcement of the presidential election and then a "town hall" with conservative media personalities.
Musk and David Sacks were overheard talking about how to fix glitches before the launch, as the platform was struggling to cope with the volume of users using the audio-only chat.
Sacks, amidst early struggles, said: "We have so many people that I'm worried we might be melting the servers."
DeSantis announced his expected presidential campaign on Twitter, which sparked skepticism before the Wednesday night struggles. The majority of Americans do not use Twitter, and his audience would be much smaller than it would have been if he had appeared on cable news in prime time.
Trump is not the only politician who has mocked DeSantis.
The campaign of President Joe Biden tweeted "This link works" with a donation link.
Trumpworld, beyond the trolling, welcomed DeSantis announcement with a series ads, statements and other posts which highlighted a month-long onslaught of the former president's most placed challenger for GOP nomination. Trump's coordinated attack on DeSantis appears to be working, as the Florida Governor has dropped in the polls before his announcement.
