Tesla announced the 18-wheeler Semi truck in 2017 and delivered its first Semi five years later, after many 18-wheeler production delay.
The Tesla Semi is the first product beyond the passenger vehicle range from the electric car maker. Elon Musk stated in December that if you are a trucker, and want to drive the most powerful rig available on the road this is the vehicle for you.
Two versions are available, with a maximum range of 300 or 500 miles, when fully loaded up to a capacity of 87,000 lbs.
Tesla Semis are already on the road, but its price is not yet known.
Tesla announced that the cost of the 500-mile Semi-truck and the shorter-range electric vehicles would be $150,000 in 2017.
Two 15-inch screens are located to the left and the right of the steering column.
Four cameras help drivers avoid blind spots by providing them with information on the truck's battery and speed.

The semi does not come with a sleeping cab, as it is designed for day trips. Tesla claimed that it could charge up to 70% of its battery in just 30 minutes. This could be a huge benefit for companies looking to reduce their carbon footprint.
Anheuser-Busch and Walmart are just a few of the big companies who have ordered this vehicle.

Tesla Semis with Frito-Lay branding have been seen on the roads surrounding the facility. However, several of them had broken down.
In March, Tesla issued a recall on 35 Semis due to the risk that their parking brakes could fail and cause them to roll.
Musk stated in a Tesla earnings call for 2018 that about 2,000 Tesla Semis were reserved. However, it is unclear how many Tesla Semis have been ordered.
"We haven’t really tried selling the Semi. The Tesla CEO said that there was no ongoing sales campaign. "Orders are opportunistic. Companies approach us."
Musk stated in the 2022 earnings call that there is still a lot of expectation because Tesla aims to sell 50,000 Tesla Semis by 2024 in North America.
