Autotrader has ranked the top 10 EVs by 2023 – and they are all Teslas

• Autotrader, a platform for listing cars on the market, has released its Top 10 Electric Vehicles for 2023.
• This year, EVs by brands such as BMW, Ford and Hyundai made the list.
• Tesla is notable for being absent from this list.

Tesla didn't make it into Autotraders Top 10 electric cars of 2023.

Autotrader released on Wednesday its list of the best EVs for this year. While brands such as BMW, Hyundai and Ford were included, Elon Musk was conspicuously absent.

List includes only pure-electric vehicles, and excludes hybrids, plug ins, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. The vehicles had to be 2023 models and priced below $100,000.

A new criteria was added to the list of startup vehicles: The vehicle must be available to purchase in 15 or more states. (Many EV startups use a direct-to consumer model, which could limit how many states they are currently allowed to sell and operate).

The full list is listed alphabetically.
