Elon Musk apologized for his conspiracy theory that Paul attacked Nancy Pelosi, former House Speaker.
Musk tweeted a link in October to a Santa Monica Observer story that claimed Paul Pelosi was drunk, arguing with a male escort when the attack occurred. Musk stated in a tweet that there was a small chance that the story might have more to it than is obvious. The tweet was quickly deleted.
Musk apologized after being asked on Twitter whether he should apologize for his actions to the Pelosis.

Musk was asked by a Twitter user what he was sorry for. He replied with a screenshot from a deleted October tweet.

Musk apologized after bodycam footage from the attack was released on Friday.
Pelosi was attacked with a hammer at his San Francisco home in the early hours on October 28th. Police identified the attacker as David DePape and charged him with attempted murder.
Pelosi and the attacker are seen fighting over control of a hammer in the bodycam footage. Pelosi is then struck over the head by the attacker who grabs the hammer.
Insider reached Musk representatives but they did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
Musk isn’t the only notable public figure to speculate on what may have happened that night. Trump's former President shared conspiracy theories about the attack. He stated that the house was entered from the inside.
