- Elon Musk tweeted George Soros reminded him of "X-Men's" mutant Magneto.
- Musk claimed, without any evidence, that Soros "hates the humanity."
- Soros has been demonized and the subject of conspiracy theories by many on the right.
Elon Musk bizarrely compared George Soros with the "X-Men's" mutant Magneto on Monday, claiming that the billionaire hates humanity without any evidence.
In a tweet he sent on Monday, he simply said: "Soros is like Magneto." As of press time, it had been viewed over 14 million times.

Musk and investigative journalist Brian Krassenstein then had a heated argument over Musk's tweet.
Krassenstein stated: "Fun Fact: Magneto's Holocaust experiences as a survivor have shaped both his perspective and his empathy."
Krassenstein said that Soros is a Holocaust survivor who gets "attacked for his good intentions, which some Americans believe are bad simply because they disagree with these political affiliations."
Musk responded to Krassenstein tweet by saying: "You presume they are good intentions. These are not. He wants to destroy the fabric of civilisation. Soros hates the human race."

Magneto, a mutant in Marvel Comics who has the superhuman power to create and control magnetic field, is a character with a unique ability. Magneto, a Holocaust survivor whose arc took him from a villain who believed that humans and mutants couldn't coexist to an anti-hero allying the X-Men, was a Holocaust-survivor.
Soros, the 92-year old Hungarian-American philanthropist and businessman worth $8.5 billion has been falsely accused of having been a Nazi. A 2020 Reuters report debunked this claim — Soros, his family and Hungarian Jews who lived in Budapest during World War II were not Nazis.
Unfounded conspiracy theories are rampant about Soros. Some believe that he tried to start a US civil war, used his money and influence to influence politics, or conspired to flood Budapest with refugees.
Musk might have a valid reason to be angry with Soros. Tesla CEO Musk's tweets were sent out just hours after it became known that Soros's fund sold its entire stake in Tesla in the first three months of this year. This was revealed in a 13F filed on Friday.
According to the filing, the Soros Fund Management held 132,000 shares in Tesla at the end the year. It sold them all during the first quarter, when its stock price rose by 68% between January and March.
Insider sent a comment request to Musk and Soros outside of regular business hours, but neither responded immediately.
