According to Elon Musk, Sam Smith and Kim Petras didn’t ruin their Grammy Awards performance “Unholy” Sunday.
The CEO of Twitter took to his platform and compared the evil act to an apocalypse. He tweeted: “End Of Days Vibes” under a clip from the duo.
He said, “If that’s Satan, we don’t have anything to worry about.” Smith wore red leather and a hat featuring protruding ears for the show. Petras was in a cage while fire was shot from the stage.
Online outrage erupted over the performance, with conservatives calling this “devil worshiping.”
Texas Senator Ted Cruz tweeted “This…is…evil”, with Megyn Kelly attacking the act on her SiriusXM daily podcast, “The Megyn Kelly show” as “celebrating Satan.”
Smith’s Sunday performance of “Unholy,” with Kim Petras, caused a split in viewers. REUTERSFans were quick to respond with one user posting on social media: “If Sam Smith was thin, cis and straight, they wouldn’t be ridiculed because of how they present themselves and dress.”
The Grammys made history when the duo won the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performer.
“I’m first transgender women to win this award,” declared an emotional Petras, dressed in crimson. “I would like to thank all transgender heroes who opened these doors for me.”
