Less than two months after X stopped displaying article headlines, Elon Musk has made an about-turn and announced that the platform will once again show headlines for links posted on the site. Elon Musk's Plan to Improve X

In a recent post on X, Musk revealed that the upcoming release will feature article headlines overlaid on the upper portion of the image of a URL card. This announcement comes as a surprise to many, considering the previous removal of headlines just a few months ago in October.

A Change in Display Format

When questioned about reversing his decision, Musk clarified that the article headlines will now be displayed differently. The title will be overlaid on the top portion of the image, while the URL will be placed at the bottom, as it is currently. Musk expressed his dislike for the "giant, ugly URL cards" that were present in the platform's previous design.

Multiple Changes Under Musk's Leadership

Since acquiring the platform in October 2022, Musk has introduced several changes to X. In April, he discontinued the platform's legacy verification program, which involved the use of blue ticks to verify the authenticity of famous personalities. Instead, he introduced the Twitter Blue subscription program.

In September, Musk hinted at the possibility of implementing a paywall for all X users as a means to combat the presence of bots on the platform. This move was seen as a strategic measure to ensure a more authentic and engaging user experience.
