Elon Musk previously stated that he preferred to eat good food and live a longer life. However, he has maintained his word: he enjoys a donut for breakfast every morning.

In response to a tweet by Peter Diamandis (a doctor and CEO of XPRIZE), the Twitter CEO showed his sweet tooth.

Diamandis tweeted Tuesday "Sugar poison" Musk responded: "I eat donuts every morning." Still alive."

Musk's tweet was viewed over 11.4 million times at press time.

Diamandis replied with clarification: "Okay Elon. Allow me to be more specific." Sugar is a slow poison.

Musk's revelation about his daily donut diet is not surprising, given his previous comments about his eating habits.

Musk stated that he would rather live a longer life and eat delicious food than to suffer from chronic illness. Musk said that he works out but would not exercise if he could.

CNBC reports that Musk's mother Maye Musk, a model and dietitian who worked for 45 years, isn't clear whether Musk's diet was influenced.

Musk isn't the only person with curious eating habits.

Former House Speaker, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, survives and thrives in politics on a diet that includes breakfast ice cream and hot dogs, pasta and chocolate.

Ex-President Donald Trump is known for his love of fast food. He once told a McDonald's employee that he knew the menu "better" than any other worker at the restaurant.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos enjoys eating octopus as breakfast. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg prefers to consume meat from animals that he killed.

Insider reached Musk representatives but they did not respond to the request for comment outside of normal business hours.
