Elon Musk was photographed with Qatar’s CEO sovereign wealth fund CEO during Sunday’s World Cup final.

Elon Musk was photographed with Qatar’s sovereign wealth chief, who invested $375 million to purchase Twitter.

Photographs show Musk sitting close to Mansoor Bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud (CEO of Qatar Investment Authority) and Jared Kushner (son-in-law), former president Donald Trump.

The Qatar Investment Authority declined comment. The Washington Post was informed by the Qatar Investment Authority that Al-Mahmoud had been photographed at the match. Numerous images uploaded by photo agencies and social media shows the men side-by-side.

Musk posted a poll about five hours after the match asking whether he should resign as Twitter’s head.

BBC asked about Musk’s meeting with Saudi Arabian or Qatari investors during his time in Middle East. They also speculated that they may have discussed his leadership of Twitter.

Twitter users voted 57.5% for Musk’s resignation on Monday. Musk announced Tuesday that he will resign as Twitter CEO once he meets someone “foolish” enough to fill the position.

Bloomberg reports that the Qatar Investment Authority manages funds in excess of $450 billion. It is headed by Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani Al-Thani Al-Thani Al-Thani Al-Thani Al-Thani Al-Thani Al-Thani Al Qatar’s deputy prime Minister. Vice chairman of the committee is Mohammed bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. He was responsible for Qatar’s bid to host this year’s World Cup.

Kushner, an investor in real estate, was linked to deals that involved Qatari money.
