Elon Musk announced on Thursday that he has found a new Twitter CEO.
The billionaire didn't specify who would take over. Musk became Twitter's "Chief Tweet" or CEO last year, after he purchased the company, fired Parag Agrawal as its former CEO within hours of buying the social media firm, and took it private.
Musk tweeted: "Excited to share that I have hired a new Chief Executive Officer for X/Twitter." "She will start in about 6 weeks!" "My role will change to that of exec chairman & CTO. I will be overseeing software, product & sysops."
Musk didn't respond to an Insider request for a comment before publication. Twitter's automated response to a comment request did not address the problem.
Tesla's shares rose 2% after the announcement.
