Elon Musk's whistle-stop China tour was completed by serving soft drinks and burgers to workers at Tesla's Shanghai factory. His visit was showcased by China's affiliated state media on Twitter.
Bloomberg reported that the billionaire left his Hongqiao Airport on Thursday in his private jet after completing his first trip to China for three years. He bought fast food to feed around 100 employees at his EV Factory in Shanghai.
Insider viewed a video posted online by Tesla’s China team that showed Musk giving a speech in front of a large crowd at his Shanghai factory. He thanked them as well for staying with him so late in the night.
He told the crowd, "I want to congratulate you for the incredible work you have done." "I just want to let you know that it warms my hearts."
Global Times, an official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party The People's Daily, also posted the video on Twitter. Twitter previously labelled the account as Chinese state-affiliated, but removed the label in April.
Tesla's Vice President in China Grace Tao uploaded a photo to Weibo, a Chinese social media site. The picture showed Musk waving at the camera along with workers in Shanghai.

Musk was welcomed as a hero in China when he arrived in Beijing this week. The public on social media hailed the Tesla and Twitter chief executive as a global idol who is of the same caliber as Chinese businessman Jack Ma.
The trip included meetings with government officials and a banquet hosted by Zeng Yuqun. Zeng is the CEO of the Chinese battery giant CATL.
Musk's Tesla has been focusing more and more on China, where the Shanghai gigafactory will produce around half of Tesla electric vehicles by 2021.
Musk, who previously called himself a "free speech absolutist," is under fire for his growing ties to China, which are in direct conflict with the country's position on free expression. Twitter, the service Musk purchased for $44 billion a year ago, is not allowed in China.
Musk didn't immediately respond to Insiders request for a comment made after normal business hours.
