The Manhattan district attorney's office intends to bring Weinstein to trial again, requiring the previous accusers to testify once more. Prosecutors aim to present a compelling case while addressing the court's concerns over the prior trial.
Health Concerns and Legal Custody
Weinstein, facing serious health issues, remains under medical care at Bellevue hospital in Manhattan. Despite the overturned conviction, he will remain in the custody of the New York City Department of Corrections. Furthermore, his legal team is challenging the Los Angeles conviction, citing the impact of the New York case on the previous trial.
