According to the radio host, he was left alone on Christmas Eve.
Tesla owner claims he was left without power on Christmas Eve because his Tesla wouldn’t charge in cold temperatures.
Domenick Nati’s holiday season has not started well after his Tesla refused charging in below freezing temperatures.
Insider reported that the 44-year old radio presenter from Lynchburg, Virginia was in 19 degrees (minus 7 C) on Friday when he connected his Tesla S to a supercharger because his battery was at 40%.
He said, “Two hours passed and not much had changed.” It was slow, and the numbers dropped as the temperature dropped. Nati said that eventually it stopped charging at all.
Later, he tried to charge the car at home but failed.
He decided to drive to another Tesla Supercharger on Christmas Eve afternoon. Nati stated that the screen displayed at 1:11 p.m. “Battery heating – Keep charge cables inserted.” The battery range had not increased an hour later.
He uploaded a TikTok video about the problem, which he claimed left him stranded Christmas Eve.

“I don’t have a vehicle other than my car so I decided to give it more time.” After hours of driving, the car was still only 19 miles from full. I decided to plug it in to get a ride home to my house.
Nati stated to Insider that he had contacted Tesla customer service but was not able to get a response.
Nati left his car charging for 15 hours, but still no change. He decided to cancel his Christmas plans.
He was also concerned that Tesla troubles would prevent him from joining his son Christmas morning to open his presents.
Insider reached out to Tesla for comment but they did not immediately respond.
