Elon Musk, according to a former employee of the social media giant, is not just joking around on Twitter.
In a 14-minute video, Esther Crawford, former director of product management for Twitter, stated that Elon was "oddly charming" and "genuinely funny".
She wrote: "He has personality quirks, like telling the same jokes and stories over and over."
Musk is known for his unfiltered, juvenile humor. His tweets on Twitter have included everything from sexual jokes and marijuana jokes to theories about life on Mars, and he has even started feuds with people like Apple CEO Tim Cook and Amazon's founder Jeff Bezos.
Crawford, despite his sense of humor said that the billionaire’s personality can "turn on dime" and be difficult to predict.
Crawford, who worked at Twitter under Musk's leadership wrote: "I accepted the fact that there was no psychological safety for me at Twitter 2.0. I knew that I could be fired any time and without reason."
The former director stated that she grew as a result of her experience with the social media company.
Crawford stated that "I learned so much from watching Elon in person – good, bad and ugly." "His passion, boldness and storytelling are inspiring. But his lack of empathy and process is painful."
In the 14-minute video, she "spilled tea" about her time spent with Musk on Twitter.
Recent comments from the former Twitter director come after it appeared that she had criticized Musk's decision on rebranding his company as "X." She was an early Musk supporter when he became the CEO of social media company.
Musk praised his "hardcore" workplace culture while a picture of the former manager sleeping in Twitter's HQ went viral last year.
Crawford spent more than two years at Twitter after her startup company was acquired by the company in 2020. Crawford took a career break after she was laid off by Twitter in February. She has travelled the world since then.
