Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s cofounder, appeared to be critical of the release of the “Twitter Files.” Dorsey suggested that the files should be released Wikileaks-style in a Tuesday blog posting. The documents were leaked by independent journalists, including Matt Taibbi (and Bari Weiss).

Jack Dorsey, a former Twitter boss, appeared to be critical of the way that documents known as “Twitter Files,” were leaked to certain journalists.

Dorsey made a blog post on Tuesday critiquing the distribution of the files. Elon Musk, the new owner of the platform, was not mentioned by him.

He stated that he wished the files were made Wikileaks-style so there would be more eyes to see and interpretations.

WikiLeaks was created by Julian Assange in order to assist whistleblowers to publish documents and leak data. The documents published on WikiLeaks are open to all.

Independent journalists Matt Taibbi, Bari Weiss, and others released the documents on Twitter.

The files were retrieved from screenshots and other details provided by journalists. News outlets reported the findings to the media.

Dorsey condemned the threats made to Twitter employees following the publication of internal Twitter communications in his blog post.

Yoel Roth (the company’s former head for trust and safety) has apparently fled his home because of the intensifying violence threats sparked by the “Twitter Files”, and criticisms from Elon Musk.

Musk was not mentioned in Dorsey’s blog. He instead tried to shift the blame on himself.

He wrote, “The current attacks against my former colleagues could prove to be dangerous and won’t solve any problems.” You can blame me for my actions or inactions if you wish.

Dorsey, reflecting on the Twitter Files, stated that the platform had done “wrong things for the internet” and “wrong thing to society” under his leadership.

Insider reached out to Twitter and Musk representatives but they did not respond immediately. Dorsey was not available for comment immediately.
