Twitter doesn't really want you to find out who bought a blue checkmark.

Elon Musk’s social media app now hides who paid for its derided Twitter Blue services.

The new notes, which were spotted on Dexerto’s account Tuesday night, simply state: "This account has been verified."

The old message stated that accounts "subscribed to Twitter Blue" and "verified their phone number."

Twitter Blue's rollout isn't going as well as expected. Users have been making fun of Musk's plans, and insulting blue-checked users for paying $8 per month to get their checkmark.

Musk, who removed verification from accounts that didn't pay for Twitter Blue, did not remove it from celebrity accounts, such as Lebron's, which he kept verified even though they were not paying the fee.

Twitter has also marked accounts of famous deceased people with blue checkmarks, claiming that they are Twitter Blue subscribers despite the fact that they are dead.

Celebrities like Chadwick Bouseman and Michael Jackson received posthumous payments.

Musk's Blue subscriptions began to lose their luster as the blue checkmark faded. Celebrities such as Lili Reinhart, Stephen King and actress Lili Rehnhart made it clear that they didn't pay Musk any money despite being verified.

Musk wrote later that he paid celebrities to subscribe to his unwelcome service.
